"Exotica" recorded at Webbley Edwards' Studio, Honolulu, Hawaii, December 1956 on two track monaural.
Released in May 1957.

"Exotica II" recorded at Capitol Records Studio, June 14, 18 & 19, 1957 in stereo.
Released in July 1958.
Instrumental additions (tracks 13-24): orchestral bells, chimes, piccolo, tree bells, tree cymbals, tuned slit boxes, uli-uli (feathered gourd), guira, quejada (jaw bone), crotales (tuned cymbals), boobams, bamboo chimes, glass chimes, assorted gongs.
