Notes

Exclusive Hot Topic white vinyl release.
Limited to 2000.

The PVC sleeve this comes in has the unfortunate side-effect of chemically reacting with the vinyl inside causing a hazing effect that ruins the sound.

My copy sounds horrible on side B, also it has a lot of skips in the two last tracks and it was a mint copy. Tbh this is only cool as a collector's item.

do not buy unless verified seller has removed from sleeve and re-sleeved. honestly not worth the investment, unless you plan to display as art. i was unaware of the issue years ago when i bought online and now this hangs on my wall. found the Music On Vinyl edition locally and is pristine and beautiful. go buy one of those for half the price

im so glad i didnt buy this. nothing but terrible reviews hhahahah xD

A-side came playing poorly as previously commented. Also, I couldn't find the "1-527479" number anywhere on my vinyl or packaging. The labels both contain the "48286-1" number mentioned on other releases. Bar Code: 093624958116

I almost forgot I had this and checked it the other day only to find that my copy was ruined by the residue from the cover. I'll try deep cleaning it this week and post again on how it worked. I'm fearing the worst however.

Totally spaced on following up with this! It did help a tiny bit to give it a good clean. I can play the record now and during most parts it actually sounds acceptable but you can hear the static-y surface noise from the residue during any quiet moments. Can't imagine it'd be too good on a needle to play it still but better than it was before sound-wise.

How did the cleaning go? Were you able to restore some the of the sound on the A-side?

It is true: this reissue of a fantastic landmark in post-hardcore is cut apart at the knees and dismembered by it's own fatal packaging. I want to blame Hot Topic for all that is wrong in the world today; but really, who is responsible for this colossal design flaw? If you bought this and it has been stored in the original packaging, just know that the A-side is basically destroyed- by the sticky plastic inner cover which presses up against it. Hopefully you can find enough solace in the B-side to keep you from pulling your hair out.

The sleeve is crap, I recommend that you leave the vinyl OVER the transparent insert w/tonearm.
Cordann
I agree. Mine came with a THICK residue from the inner sleeve on side 2. Completely unplayable and destroyed.
