I took a chance on this EP since I really like Under the Flightpath, the album "Lose No Time" came from. I was disappointed, at the time, that only "It's Movin'" and the last third of "Lose No Time" somewhat resembled the warm, Detroit-vibed themes on the album. I just wasn't ready for the bleak turn that techno took in the second half of the '90s and early 2000s.Well, now it's nearly the mid-2010s, and I think I'm finally at peace with it. The breakbeat-buffered techno tracks here are a bit loopy and dated (even for when they came out), but I'm glad I didn't get rid of this CD. It's like a fusion of early '90s New York style (Beltram, Bones, Adam X) with that cold, dark wave of techno and drum'n'bass that was coming out at the time, and a touch of Detroit. I'm bumping my rating up a notch.
