Fennesz - Endless Summer mp3 album

Friggin' great album! Very romantic too in some ways! One of my best discoveries lately.

Probably the most addictive set of glitch tunes ever produced. It's hard not to imagine this as the soundtrack to a robot's first ever bout with summertime nostalgia and melancholy. Once, after stepping out of a late showing of Jurassic World, I found myself oddly compelled to go for a lengthy walk on the beach and listen to this intertwined with Pet Sounds. I highly recommend doing this.

With grit, feedback and digital noise, Fennesz starts off his ENDLESS SUMMER with the choppy, angular "Made In Hong Kong." He brings in a guitar with the title track, though its strums are put through the digital wringer, which makes them both abstract and surprisingly new, while the fuzz on 'A Year In A Minute" takes on a melodic shape as electronic blips swirl around it and even momentarily take over. "Shisheido" lets the guitars stay longer, but the trilling synths of "Before I Leave" quickly clear the sonic palate. The longer "Happy Audio" ends the album with on a more subdued note, Quite lovely.

a brilliant work, warm, friendly, though not compromising a single moment. no edge, no clicks, no noise is hidden, but finally all these sounds combine to a piece, that can only be compared to oval's "ovalprocess" or "goflex" by f.x. randomiz.

This is a strangely beautiful album, endearenly analogue and yet so nicely manipulated digitally- in the end leaving the perect balance of sharp and soft.

Phenomenal record. Fractured, yet human ambience.
