This particular EP flows very nicely, due to its innocent combination of the more soulful and laidback Svek touch, the more tribal orientated rocking beats of Code Red, and the general straight forward swedish techno sound of the mid nineties, with crispy crystal clear sounds, but vague progression.Daydreamer doesn't hint at anything much. It's a light hearted, melodic tune with warm Detroit synths thrown over a somewhat fast beat. It never really goes anywhere in particular, yet the eclectic melody work keeps it interesting.Alone Again hasn't really aged with grace. It has a synth stab on repeat for six minutes and some change with little else going on. To me it sounds like a throw away tune which didn't quite cut it for one of those early "The lords of Svek" compilations. Despite its relaxed flow and vibe, it's just to bleak to function on any other level, except that of serving as background music, which is kind of a shame, when one looks at some of the output this man has released throughout the years. But, then again, these are his baby steps, so we won't hold any grudges, will we now?
