Crywank does not make the most complex music so capturing it well on vinyl is not too difficult I imagine. And they have done just that with this release. However there are some oddities and flaws. While it sounds quite good through my speakers the pressing quality is less than stellar. There is firstly its low volume. I have no idea if this is even a pressing problem but the record is unusually quiet compared to everything else I have. Requiring to crank the volume knob about one third more than usual to get the same volume. This also leads into another pressing flaw which is all the crackles and pops. There is an abundance of them even on my brand new copy. Perhaps with some cleaning it could be cleared out but with the increased volume they are heard more clearly as well. Thankfully it is at least devoid of background static noise even at that volume. The last problem is on the first track of side 2. The song completely stops for about 2 seconds and picks up where it left after that. I have never had a record do that before and I am pretty sure the song doesn't stop like that. Its amazing that they managed to fit all the lyrics on a small sheet however. Even though its quite confusing to follow the songs in order. Its sad that such a good album has so many pressing issues. But at the end of the day it is still worth a purchase if you really love the songs.Equipment used:Rega RP1 with Rega Carbon CartridgeCyrus 2 Amplifier System Fidelity SF-3050 Tower Speakers Custom made HQ Speaker CablesUpdate: With a new cart and listening ears its really quite underwhelming listening to this album again. The sound is very flat and doesnt feel very mastered. Of course the bad pressing quality is still there like I remember it.Updated Equipment: Nagaoka MP-110 Cartridge Update 2:With a now more clean record I will say that it plays better crackle wise. But many of the sound problems remain even with a better cart and ears. The bottom end is really poor and the stereo imaging greatly underutilized. All the instruments are just very centered making it sound like a mono record, but perhaps thats all down to the mixing.Still a very average or worse effort, but the pressing is decent if you can clean your copy.Updated Equipment:Nagaoka MP-200 Cartridge
