always had some killer scratching on so damn tuff . pure miami bass sounding beats , with emphasis on that sub bass . still sounds baaaaaaad today . 2 raps on aside , 2 insts on bside . classic 12"

Cuts on this record are by Vic Austin A.K.A. D.J. Slic Vic from Jam Pony Express. This is a killer downtempo bass jam and a Florida mixtape classic. Besides Afro-Rican's "Give it all you Got," this was the label's best release.

It appeared on Streetsounds Hip Hop 18 in 1987 but the writing on my 12" with the Instrumentals on the B-Side says "Distributed By SunTown Records Corp. Inc. 1989 Opa-Locka Blvd, Miami, FL" at the bottom of the label. But then mine is the 4 track 12" not this 2 track one. It's a dope 12" nevertheless and one every true hip hop head should own, tough beats and scratches and a no let up rap style makes it a sure fire hit. So Damn Tough is the better of the two tracks though for me

I have to agree this record is a corker, but I think you'll find this wasn't on Streetsounds Hip Hop 18? Also i think the 1989 is part of the address not the year of release.

Sounds more like it was made in 1986 than 1989, and that's no bad thing at all! Heavy 808 drums with fresh rap and clean scratching makes this a must if you liked early Two Live Crew.
