Various - Open Top Cars And Girls In T'Shirts mp3 album

This for me is the perfect example of how a compilation album should be put together. I bought this album in 1985 and, despite the fact that many of the tracks are available on different albums I have, the track listing struck a chord with me and, to all intents and purposes, this album is my favourite to just put on and immerse myself in. I have compiled the track listing onto custom CD and, I've used the title on so many compilations I've lost count. Don't ask me why this selection works so well, it just flows really well from track to track and, whoever it was at Telstar Records who was responsible for licensing the tracks, brought together an inspired and eclectic choice for this album. There's a really nice balance of UK & US artists, plus some Australian recording artists and, by using a combination of lesser known tracks or minor hits by some of those artists, coupled with the bigger hits of the period and some well known 60's & 70's hits the whole album works really well. It's taken me many years to track down some of the tracks so I could make my own CD version and I can honestly say this is an album I wouldn't be without. I cannot recommend it enough.
