Franz Waxman - Crime In The Streets mp3 album

This relatively rare score from Franz Waxman in early summer of '56 together with Elmer Bernstein's "Man With A Golden Arm" from the previous fall convinced the big film studios that there was some money to be made from separately released film scores, in both cases a jazzy tour de force, highly unusual, particularly from Waxman. This soundtrack was so sought after that both Entr'acte & Varese reissued it, first in the 70's and again in the 90's. The film is a late contribution to film noir by none other than Don Siegel.
