Bobby Caldwell - Carry On mp3 album

Easily Caldwell's strongest album! Not a weak song on here. "Sunny Hills" is a song about a retirement home, with an undeniable Steely Dan treatment, and it simply WORKS. "Loving you" is fantastic and it's outro also evokes Steely Dan in it's horn arrangement."Jamaica" is another stellar song, as is "Words" (Jeff Porcaro's drumming is quite evident on some of these songs). The title cut is a slow burn SCORCHER......9/10. It's no wonder that Caldwell himself sites this album as his favorite. I must agree.

I think this is far underrated one. Also having a strong feeling Sunny Hills inspired Albarn for On Melancholy Hill. Nothing wrong for Damon if it is, both tracks are fantastic.

Just listened to that song. I hear no similarity at all between those two songs....sorry.

Words is great, especially the soft dubby ending. You Belong to Me is also a nice walking paced groove.

Ummm, so are "Sunny Hills", "Loving you", "Jamaica", "Carry On".
