Entheogenic - Dialogue Of The Speakers mp3 album

Would love to see some of this back catalogue remastered for vinyl. Really enjoyed Ott's recent projects on releasing his albums on wax. Not to mention Bluetech whose about to drop his remastered 15th anniversary Prima Materia LP.

Well, here’s an album to divide listeners in anything from Chill-Out album of the year to mediocre and rip-off. Being my first dive into Entheogenic, though, DOTS has always offered me a grandiose tour into the world of chill out. Opening track Aranyanyara sets the tone – dreamy and packed with melodies. Add to this (non vocoded) vocals! Now, in my book vocals and psychedelic music can make highly unsuitable bedfellas but in Entheogenic’s soundscape the two mixes perfect. The psychedelic aspects are left just as clear and the vocals doesn’t cramp any cheesy pop-modern atmosphere into the tracks. As a matter of fact, at the end of the album it’s the tracks with non vocoded vocals, i.e. Aranyanyara, Pagan Dream Machine and Ground Luminosity, that stands most clear and earns the album as a whole a warm hearted recommendation. Stunning tracks and among my all time chill out favourites. As for the remainder you get a little of everything. The Abakus remix of Aranyanyara is quite remarkable with it’s Billy Jean ground sample – and perhaps more memorable than good. Without Thought is a catchy *up-beat* chill out track, Ott’s version of Timeless a spacey dreamer, and Without Thought in the Youth version a dub influenced chiller. Not all equally appealing the remaining tracks are still far from filler material. All in all highly recommended. But the cover work must be among the most hideous EVER in psytrance!

Helmut Glavar & Piers Oak-Rhind are names not easy to remember. Entheogenic is, at contrary, a name which is henceforth very popular through the psytrance & chill scenes. So, Dialogue Of The Speakers is the opportunity of checking the evolution of their sound, especially with Without Thought . It’s also the chance of a big gathering of the present best chill producers bringing their remixes visions to Entheogenic soundscapes ; the Youth, Timesless ESP by Ott , Abakus (funny & weird idea to mix Entheogenic on a Michael Jackson’s Bass Rythmic combo, i mean Billy Jean’s one) & Shulman remixes are particurlarly remarkable here. Mention too for the great design made by Miro. 8,5/10
