In the transition that Force Trax had from dubby techno to dubby house or pure house, "All that glitters" remains as one of the standouts. There is dub, there are uncredited samples (they dedicate the "Try again" dub "Blue" to Aaliyah, and I think they don't say anywhere that "Amethyst pop stars" is actually Ian Pooley's "What's my number" in dub) and there is good disco house all along. Maybe the 8+ minute dub of "Quite unusual" makes it drag, but the mix of, yep, dubby house and touches of glitch is what makes this purely Force Tracks and a sound to miss quite a lot in 2017.

I found this record randomly and bought it because of the cover without listening amd then i really felt in love with it when i put it on at home hehehe

MRI's sophomore full-length is just plain fun. Their unique blend of the minimal German techno aesthetic with elements of filtered disco, funk and house is very appealing to me. And they've done it a lot better on "All That Glitters" than they did on "Rhythmogenesis" (which is a solid affair in its own right). There's not a track on the cd I dislike, but 'Next Step' has some of the catchiest basslines and keyboard rhythms I've heard in a long time, is thoroughly danceable, and never fails to put a smile on my face.
