This release was the original pressing, not the other one with slightly different graphics & Interface logo.

this record, belive it or not, has been released in 1990. i got it at the best record store in berlin "hardwax" in 1991. it actually blew my mind when i first listen to it. i played it on after hour sessions in february 1992 in berlin & hamburg. you can think about the detroit sound what you want but in my opinion most of the tracks came out at this time, have been very emotional machine music. listen to this record and you will hear a different facet of detriot techno

This release contains 'Infoworld' which I believe is one of Juan Atkins shining moments. It doesn't get the same praise as maybe No UFO's or Nightdrive, although it should. It has a different kind of positivity. Less industrial and more organic... It's beautiful lead melody and shimmering synth lines on top of a smooth bassline is close to perfection IMO. It's sounds like a tribute to Kraftwerk, and has a continue on where they left off kind of feel to it. This release is as good as any to show Juan's vision of the future at that time.

I think this is Juan's or Network's humour. What i mean is, look at the track titles, 'Sublime Ambient' and 'Silence' none of these tracks are listed anywhere else by Juan, as Derrick May would say 'It Is What It Is'.

The remix of Wanderer is a fantastic combination of dark, sinewy, raw, _pumping_ Mayday beats and sounds in hypnotic 5/4 time, with a really beautiful, simple melody floating on top. One of those unnderrated gems that's better just because it's not a marquee hit.

Often overlooked , this e.p. is a great reminder of what detroit was all about in 1990. The first mix of Ocean to Ocean starts with a great understated 'beatbox' lead in , sweet pads and riffs entering the frame once the kick drum drops. As with so many detroit releases , this hasn't dated mainly due to the fact that it's always sounded ahead of its time. The B-side has been mis-labeled on this release -'Wanderer' is 'Infoworld' and vice versa. 'Wanderer' (mixed, unmistakably, by Derrick May) is only 120bpm but is so menacingly hard and dark that it's only when you try and mix it in with recent techno releases that you realise how much slower it is.Ownership is compulsory.

Cleaner mixed than the Metroplex version. The track Ocean to ocean together with Rhythim is rhythims The beginning were the climax of the first technowawe. Both altruistic and hopeful for a better world, Mr Atkins tell us about the prophecy. A wunderful sleeve made by the kool Kat crew. I find the remix of Wanderer even better than Ocean to ocean, it´s a hard organic track with this incredible 808 drums mixed with the 909:s. Cybernetic funk! Proberly Derrick Mays best remix ever!
