It needs to be said that there are two distinct vintages of recordings contained herein:
The first, which includes the entirety of side one and side two through "The Last Clarinet Solos...", was belched up at the late Media Art-primarily from that primalesque Studio B-during the period of '79-'81, which represents somewhat the beginning of an end. The second, which includes only "How Does the Blood Tasted Pt. 1" and "Where I Sleep...", was conceived within that same dark Studio B and finally realized at Spinhead in '86; this being an end of a beginning.
