A: Drum'N'Bass (Jazzy). Petrop Jelly opens up with classic orchestration straight out of a 70's movie. An NYPD car speed past while brass and string sections set the tone alongside spooky rhodes piano riff and live percussion. the drop is an explosion of intense double bass and beats. Brass stabs fly in then out, then in again for the breakdown. as the energy heightens the drums and bass roll back for a killer funked up groove. Plenty of subtle tweeks and variation give it a strong production value and keep it fresh. [TEN]B: Drum'N'Bass. Sandgarden is on a harder tip starting with haunting atmospherics, filtered drums and a sharp snare. The track breaks down for a moment to twisted bass, before smashing back into mettallic breaks. The movement is rapid as high pass filtering is used to introduce more percussive elements and all in all, a very uplifting vibe. Yes it's of it's age but this ripped it up at the time and bar a short ponderous second breakdown still gets me on my feet. [TEN]
