I 'm not sure about how many Groovy Beats compilations exist, but i think that they are five of them. Summer Groovy Beat from 1994, Groovy Beat 95 vol 1, Groovy Beat 95 vol 2, Groovy beat summer 96 and this one Groovy Beat 96. My opinion is that this one is the hardest and the most complete one, as far as the track list. Containing musical elements from the best dance scenes of that era, Italian and German this compilation delivers energy and vibrations for all the techno-rave lovers.The introduction in this cd is the breakbeat track So pure from Baby D, a track suitable for chilling out, since the beat is soft and the female vocals give it a touch of softness and joy. Angeli Domini from Datura is the second to come, with the choir latin vocals adding a celestial mood, since the translation of the lyrics is something like a prayer. And here we have the extended version.Always music, a typical rave track, followed by two techno tracks and the massive Electric and after that the hymn Can't stop raving from the music geniouses called Dune. Not so fast as the tracks of their second album, but clearly in the path of the techno music with the almost childish and joyfull voice of Verena, adding fressness and innocence.2 Fabiola's play this song is a track that keeps you pumping from the very beginning with the bouncing drum pattern and the acid like bass line.If you wanna party. If you search at the cd single of this release you will find out that this isn't neither the fastest nor the best version of this song. This one is the Underspeed mix. For your information only, the best one and the one that Jeronimo Groovy played frequently is the Alex party mix and the gabber version is the Pura vida remix.Land of dreaming is the gospel mix perfectly fitted for chilling and relaxing reasons and in the right position for the rest to come.For the rest of the songs i only have to add that imo, the correct order should have been Marusha, Cobra, Bass Of Energy, Perplexer and the "raviest" of them all Bring me noise! in it's position for the grand finalle. I'm using this particular order according to the characteristics of each song.For a final judgement of this release, the tracklist is perfect. What lucks from this release is the poorest booklet. This compilation can easily compete and outrun equivalent releases from other foreign labels, but not with this almost blank booklet. I was deeply dissapointed, but from what you can see from my rating, it wasn't enough in order to deprive the 5 stars.
