This album was released when Sub Pop had the majority of the heavy-hitters in the Seattle scene signed to their label, including Soundgarden, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Green River, Tad, Mudhoney, Beat Happening, and Fastbacks. Most of them went on to major labels soon afterwards.
