1997 was the year when I had my first experience with "real" house music. summer of 1997 I took part at two definitive parties at the club panorama, Balatonalmádi. These two happenings made me great fan of electronic music. (both of them were house parties, and the "old riders" of Hungarian dj scene played there: Tommyboy, Budai, Sterbinszky and so one... as I remember there were the "Happy Mondays" parties:) From this time I started to find and buy mixes like this House Matic Classics. It's a real classic compilation, every minutes of it are real classical tunes. The next Tommyboy double mix - House Matic Club Hits Vol 2 had the same quality. There were promotional mixtape around 1997 whoose tracklists are unavailable but I think I should mention them... I'll upload some information about them as soon as I can.

May be it sounds a bit silly, but this is a true milestone in the hungarian house scene. A definition of club house music at that time and one of the first mixed CD in Hungary. No HD mixing or editing, just the old 2 turntables + 1 mixer stuff! Highlights: Father And The Professor - Housematic (which became a real house anthem after the release), Kamasutra - Nightwalk and of course Throw from Carl Craig in full lengh.
