Altar Piece and Oscillation No.2 were recorded in the facilities of the Center for the Performing Arts at Yellow Springs in January and February, 1983. The other works were recorded in the Mandell Theater at Drexel University in Philadelphia in March 1983.

Here And Now is the first recording released by Relache, the ensemble for contemporary music. Founded in 1977 by composer Joseph Franklin and trombonist Joseph Showalter in Philadelphia. At this writing, its evolving repertoire lists 150 works by a variety of twentieth century composers.
