Last ABC Impulse pressing on yellow ABC target/note label. Some transitional copies were sent out with the "Platinum Plus MCA-37020" gold stamp on the cover. Platinum Plus was a reissue series that first used up existing covers & labels from the plants before being repressed with new MCA catalog numbers.
A1 to A4: Recorded in performance at The Ash Grove, Los Angeles, June 22, 1972; Peter Ivers and Dean Parks were added March 19, 1974 at Royal Hidley Hall, Los Angeles
B1 to B4: Recorded in performance, July 6, 1973, at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreux, Switzerland
Mixed at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles.
These tracks were mixed by means of the Standard Matrix system for fully compatible stereo and quadraphonic reproduction, and should provide exceptional listening when heard on any high-quality playback or broadcast system. The louder the better.
