Be aware that both tracks are slightly-crackly vinyl rips. Still better than my rips, at least.

This record is the definition and epitome of late 90s euphoric/epic Trance.

RISE FM! Classic memories of listening to this playing GTA III :)

The only point that Weareonenation303 misses that this was - AFAIK - a very, very rare/limited release. And don't just think about the music itself (ok, you maybe should since we are on discogs, but let's make an exception). The PC/Console game Grand Theft Auto 3 was a fucking hydrogen bomb in 2001/2002 and lately selling like ~15 000 000 units overall, and it contained some of GEN401-405 mixed in a really pulsing, deep, somewhat melodic and hard vibe that I think everyone enjoyed during their respective gametime. So I would say that - while this label is/was not really popular and only had like 8 releases - a really, really significant amount of people know this; I even know some guys here on discogs who have bought turntables in order to listen to the full version of these songs, digitalize them etc.So for a house/trance expert/lover who has been riding these waves for decades, this is nothing special. But for me, and for all the guys who have some nice memoirs of GTA3, this is above average, and superior to Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Tiesto and all the other big names I also find boring and inferior to '90s trance nowadays.

I can fully agree that! Listening this track while playing the first minutes of GTA III was an unbelieveable feeling. After finishing the story I played several hours just driving and listening to RISE FM because of the great music. I want them all on Vinyl (just started with Neo) :-)

Sure dude, no hard feelings, I got your point.

Sadly, I don't understand what's the hype of this record? It's definitely one the best trance records from 2000 considering so much crap from it's time. I liked the intro and melody but for me nothing I haven't seen before, didn't like the vocals and most of the time female vocals ruin trance music. probably because I don't like too much late 90's to early 2000's it all sounds to me the same. The intro is the similar drum buildup, progression and epic melody. The Shiver & Parasite Mix is a more housy version of the original and a fairly decent track. I know a lot of you will disagree this comment but thats my thought on this prefering the more mimalistic landscapish trance of the early 90's for the that's the real "Trance Music" all you fanboys saying the real classics are on the late 90's - early 00's when trance music exploded evolving to the boring formula as I know it today. Can't believe anyone paying a fortune for this when there are many better trance records from the golden era. from it's time it's defintely the top but I can't compare this with the golden era of trance, let this be released a bit earlier it would had been much better. I guess the novelty of being released on USA give this record something very, very few records have.

Well said Weareonenation303, nothing special here, just a typical formula trance from early 2000, the intro is the only good part but then that typical cheesy epic melody kicks in.. and the remix! it's best not to talk about it... I guess comparing this with the shit that is coming out nowadays is the reason why all the fanboys are getting a boner over this one. Who knew people actually pay 60+ for a US trance record from 2000, I should hold on to my classics and charge triple for them if this record is actually worth the prices charged on Discogs. Funny how people consider something like this a classic! You want classic trance you need to go back a few years. 92-96 to be specific with the majority of output coming out in 93-95, keeping in mind that handful of key records started to emerge in late 1992 and paved the way for the true progressive sound of trance. 97 was a transition year and there were more bad than good records and 98 was the beginning of the worst kind of trance and whatever came after that is just history.

Still one of my all time favorite trance tracks, like 99% of fans of score, I first heard the track in GTA3, its a real shame this got no airplay from the worlds top dj's at the time, and its probably still not that known to many, this is what you would call a cult track, with plenty of great memories.

This is one GREAT classic! I first heard it on RISE FM when I played GTA 3 and I fell in love! This is track that I will always remember. The beats and the pumping bassline are great, the vocals are great, the melody too... Everything in this track is great!

It's a great track, but that's one of those records I'll probably never own. It's ridiculously priced, most likely because it's very rare. A pity.Let's hope a digital version gets released one day.

How do you summarise a song that I have simply never tired of in six years? Sitting in your car at 6am watching the sun rise after a long night, this anthem is everything good trance should be. It reminds me so thoroughly of driving at night, streetlights, undercarriage neon on cars, of cssZenGarden's #64, and, despite its driving beat, a really mellow-out mood. A central track in the Grand Theft Auto 3's RISE FM radio station, "Score" just epitomises everything I enjoyed about that game: driving around this fantastic virtual world just soaking it in. RISE FM gave the game a new lease on life for me, introduced me to a whole new world of music, and "Score" was the core of that.

Absolutely astonishing tune! Makes you fall into deep euphoric emotional state so you may even let a tear fall. A unique masterpiece, that takes your breath every time you listen it.
