Notes
C32These recordings are a first step in a direction of what will end up as "Bowling Meditations". The three tracks on this tape are single form sound explorations that will end up in the final execution of "Bowling Meditations".
Please realize that am by any means not a good bowler, i'm still an early student of the art and am only at the beginning of what will be a long journey to achieve hopefully some skill and understanding.
I do know that i am a bowler and not merely a thrower of a ball.

1. "Split City" occurs when you hit the pocket slightly off, millimeters really, resulting in many splits. This is a frustrating zone to be in and it takes adjustments to break free from it. These adjustments are at the heart of the art that is bowling and consciously reading the lane and adapting your stance, approach, release, etc is the process by which you reach higher levels.
Split City - glass, oscillator, delay.
2. "Slow 7" is when you hit a strike and the 7 pin is falling slowly, meaning you just hit the pocket a bit thin but enough.
Slow 7 - singing bowl, hand drum, delay.
3. "Hot Lanes" is a most positive zone, many strikes are achieved on your lane and the lanes around you, for instance during league play. When this happens it is allowed to yell out "Hot Lanes!".
Hot Lanes - contact microphone, tuning forks, delay, micro synth.
