Whoever pressed this on vinyl hated the album and contributed to its identity crisis. The jarring and unnecessary "Silence" remix at the end and band name misspelling aside, we know from other editions that Bill Leeb notched a couple of gorgeous Delerium "instrumentals" during this era, the sublime "Terra Firma" and slow-burn "Temptation," but they are conspicuously absent here, as if the States couldn't handle a Delerium album with lyricless songs or without a Sarah McLachlan remix. (Which makes the never-ending "Amongst The Ruins" a curious attachment and a possible attempt at compromise.) Someone or somebodies clearly wanted to push Delerium in a pop direction, perhaps to capitalize on the success of "Silence" on radio, but the result is awkward and shy. It doesn't help that the record itself sounds tinny and weak. I wouldn't spring for this pressing of the album if you love Delerium, I'd wait for a thoughtful reissue that reflects on what this Delerium period would have accomplished if so many people hadn't had second thoughts and a bit more confidence in the project's personality. There are some fantastic songs here, and a few missing that popped up on soundtracks or compilations later. In retrospect, this album needed a more thoughtful approach to its organization and presentation. I hope it isn't too late and this period gets another chance to be heard properly.

In my opinion, the best Delerium release there is. Deep and relaxed with great, intuitive lyrics. Songs are well structured and arranged. This album is amazing and every track with lyrics is well done.

This is really bad. Nothing else to say

This record is almost perfect for people who love female's vocals and melodies like from fables and romantic movies. All songs are very enjoyable and harmonic. The best track for me is "Amongst the Ruins" - instrumental and monumental music with electronic effects of wind which has got huge performance. YOU should listen this record only in dark rooms in the night when YOU want to relax. The last song - 'Silence' remixed by Airscape - is good, but it's too fast and rytmic. This is something like vocal trance. Not a chillout. This track is only a bonus which shouldn't be on this record! That's why I said that it's almost perfect! Without it - IT IS!!!

It's so tragic they bumped Terra Firma, one of the record's highlights, for that remix on this release. They just can't let go of their success with that song.
