Bonnie Jo Hunt / Ron Sunsinger "Star Songs" CDOne of the masterminds behind famous and unique HoS/Fathom journeys "Kiva" and "Singing Stones" is back after many years of silence. And almost 10 years passed since his last co-work with Michael Stearns on "Sorcerer". But don't worry, it doesn't mean Ron Sunsinger didn't work during these years on any projects. This Native American ceremonial artist did numerous projects for film and TV, for example sound designs and mixes for various National Geographic documentaries. On "Star Songs" is Ron teamed with Indian operatic singer Bonnie Jo Hunt. Ron's elegant and tranquil ambient space washes are nicely melted and colored with Bonnie Jo's gorgeous voice, singing traditional lullabies in several Native American languages. About half of teen pieces are lullabies, but we find also some prayers and vocalizations. "Star Songs" features a very deep, absorbing, intimate and emotional music and creates a very harmonious bridge between the traditional culture and modern technology. Magnificent, lovely and enjoyable work from Bonnie Jo and Ron that is highly recommended for all lovers of space ambient with strong Native American feel!!! And don't forget to take this CD with you for your next evening campfire... And by the way, "Star Songs" CD is a very nice addition to Vidia Wesenlund's "Night Light" CD (featuring also Michael Stearns).
